ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು,ಜನವರಿ,18,2024(www.justkannada.in): ಸ್ವಿಟ್ಜರ್ ಲ್ಯಾಂಡ್ ನ ದಾವೋಸ್ ನಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆಯುತ್ತಿರುವ ವಿಶ್ವ ಆರ್ಥಿಕ ಸಮಾವೇಶದ ಮೂರನೇ ದಿನ ಭಾರೀ ಮತ್ತು ಮಧ್ಯಮ ಕೈಗಾರಿಕಾ ಸಚಿವ ಎಂ ಬಿ ಪಾಟೀಲ್ ನೇತೃತ್ವದ ನಿಯೋಗವು ಎಚ್.ಪಿ., ಆ್ಯಬ್ ಇನ್ಬೇವ್ ಬ್ರೂವರೀಸ್, ಎಚ್.ಸಿ.ಎಲ್, ಗೆನಾತ್ರಿ (ಪೆಟ್ರೋನಾಸ್), ಎನ್.ಟಿ.ಟಿ. ಡೇಟಾ, ಸಿಸ್ಕೋ, ಸ್ವಿಗ್ಗಿ ಸೇರಿದಂತೆ ಹಲವು ಪ್ರತಿಷ್ಠಿತ ಕಂಪನಿಗಳೊಂದಿಗೆ ಮಾತುಕತೆ ನಡೆಸಿ, ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನ ಹೂಡಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಆಕರ್ಷಿಸಿದೆ.
ಈ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಅಲ್ಲಿಂದಲ್ಲೇ ಮಾಹಿತಿ ನೀಡಿದ ಸಚಿವ ಎಂ.ಬಿ ಪಾಟೀಲ್ ಅವರು, ಪಾನೀಯಗಳ ತಯಾರಿಕೆಗೆ ಹೆಸರಾಗಿರುವ ಆ್ಯಬ್ ಇನ್ಬೇವ್ ಇಂಡಿಯಾ ಕಂಪನಿಯು ರಾಜ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ತನ್ನ ಉತ್ಪಾದನೆ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿಸಲು 400 ಕೋಟಿ ರೂ. ಹೂಡಲು ಒಪ್ಪಿಕೊಂಡಿದೆ. ಜೊತೆಗೆ, ಈಗಾಗಲೇ ರಾಜ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ 900 ಮಿಲಿಯನ್ ಡಾಲರ್ ಹೂಡಿಕೆ ಮಾಡಿರುವ ಎನ್.ಟಿ.ಟಿ. ಡೇಟಾ ಕಂಪನಿಯು ಮುಂಬರುವ ವರ್ಷಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ನಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿ ಇನ್ನೂ 2 ಬಿಲಿಯನ್ ಡಾಲರ್ ಬಂಡವಾಳ ತೊಡಗಿಸಲು ತೀರ್ಮಾನಿಸಿದೆ ಎಂದು ತಿಳಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ಎಚ್.ಪಿ. (ಹ್ಯೂಲೆಟ್ ಪೆಕಾರ್ಡ್) ಕಂಪನಿಯು ಇನ್ನೂ 4,000 ಉದ್ಯೋಗಗಳನ್ನು ಸೃಷ್ಟಿಸಲು ನಿರ್ಧರಿಸಿದ್ದು, ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿನ ಮಹದೇವಪುರದಲ್ಲಿ ಹೊಸದಾಗಿ ಎರಡು ಸುಸಜ್ಜಿತ ಕಚೇರಿಗಳನ್ನು ಆರಂಭಿಸಲಿದೆ. ಜೊತೆಗೆ ಮೈಸೂರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಸರ್ವರ್ ತಯಾರಿಕಾ ಘಟಕ ಆರಂಭಿಸಲು ಅದು ಮಾತುಕತೆ ನಡೆಸುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಇದು ಸಾಧ್ಯವಾದರೆ 1 ಬಿಲಿಯನ್ ಡಾಲರ್ ವಾರ್ಷಿಕ ವಹಿವಾಟು ಸಾಧ್ಯವಾಗಲಿದೆ. ಅಲ್ಲದೆ, ಎಚ್.ಪಿ ಕಂಪನಿಯು ರಾಜ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ತನ್ನ `ಗ್ಲೋಬಲ್ ಲೀಡರ್ ಶಿಪ್’ ಕಚೇರಿ ಹೊಂದಲು ಮನಸ್ಸು ಮಾಡಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಅವರು ಮಾಹಿತಿ ನೀಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ಪೆಟ್ರೋನಾಸ್ (ಗೆನಾತ್ರಿ) ಕಂಪನಿಯು ಶುದ್ಧ ಇಂಧನ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ತೊಡಗಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದು, ರಾಜ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಈ ವರ್ಷದ ಕೊನೆಯ ಹೊತ್ತಿಗೆ 30 ಗಿಗಾವ್ಯಾಟ್ ಮರುಬಳಕೆ ಮಾಡಹುದಾದ ಇಂಧನ ತಯಾರಿಸುವ ಗುರಿ ಹೊಂದಿದೆ. ಅಲ್ಲದೆ, ವಿದ್ಯುತ್ ಚಾಲಿತ ವಾಹನಗಳ ಬ್ಯಾಟರಿ ತ್ಯಾಜ್ಯ ನಿರ್ವಹಣೆಯನ್ನು ಅದು ವೈಜ್ಞಾನಿಕವಾಗಿ ಮಾಡಲು ಆಸಕ್ತಿ ಹೊಂದಿದೆ. ಈ ನಿಟ್ಟಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಅದು ರಾಜ್ಯ ಸರಕಾರದೊಂದಿಗೆ ಸಹಭಾಗಿತ್ವ ಹೊಂದಲು ಬಯಸಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಅವರು ನುಡಿದಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ಇದೇ ರೀತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸೈಬರ್ ಸೆಕ್ಯುರಿಟಿ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಿಸ್ಕೋ, ನಗರ ಸಂಚಾರ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆಯೊಂದಿಗೆ ಸ್ವಿಗ್ಗಿ ವಿದ್ಯುತ್ ಚಾಲಿತ ವಾಹನ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ವೋಲ್ವೋ ಕಂಪನಿಗಳು ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನ ಬಂಡವಾಳ ಹೂಡಲು ಮುಂದೆ ಬಂದಿವೆ. ಇವುಗಳ ಹೂಡಿಕೆ ಪ್ರಸ್ತಾವನೆಗೆ ರಾಜ್ಯ ಸರಕಾರವು ಕೂಡ ಸಕಾರಾತ್ಮಕವಾಗಿ ಸ್ಪಂದಿಸಿದ್ದು, ಎಲ್ಲ ಬಗೆಹ ಸಹಕಾರ ಕೊಡುವ ಭರವಸೆ ನೀಡಲಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಎಂ.ಬಿ ಪಾಟೀಲ್ ವಿವರಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ಈ ಹೂಡಿಕೆಗಳ ಸಂಬಂಧವಾಗಿ ಎಚ್.ಸಿಎಲ್ ಕಂಪನಿಯ ಮುಖ್ಯಸ್ಥ ಬಾಲಸುಬ್ರಮಣಿಯನ್, ಪೆಟ್ರೋನಾಸ್ ಕಂಪನಿಯ ಸಿಇಒ ಸುಶೀಲ್ ಪುರೋಹಿತ್, ಸಿಸ್ಕೋದ ಪ್ರದಾನ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥಾಪಕ ಜೀತು ಪಟೇಲ್ ಮುಂತಾದವರೊಂದಿಗೆ ವಿಸ್ತೃತ ಮಾತುಕತೆ ನಡೆಸಲಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಸಚಿವ ಎಂ.ಬಿ ಪಾಟೀಲ್ ಹೇಳಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

Ab InBev India keen to invest Rs 400 Crore for expanding brewery operations in Karnataka
Davos: Ab InBev India which has a robust presence in Karnataka, has evinced keenness for a $50 million (Rs 400 crore) investment to enhance and expand their brewery operations in the state.
The executives of Ab InBev shared this during the meeting with the delegation led by Large and Medium Industries Minister MB Patil at the WEF-24 Annual Meet on Wednesday. The company which features a state-of-the-art brewery in Mysuru and a Global Capability Centre situated in Whitefield, Bengaluru, has intended to further its operations in Karnataka.
The other high-profile meetings on day 3 of the event included discussions with leading companies such as Genatri, HP Enterprise, HCL Technologies, NTT Data, Cisco, Swiggy, Volvo Cars, and others.
According to the Minister, Gentari which has already signed for a Green Hydrogen facility in Mangaluru for Rs 33,000 Cr, identifying Karnataka as a pivotal market for renewable endeavours, particularly ammonia, aims to capitalize on the state’s abundant natural terrain delta. In addition, expressing interest in exploring pumped storage project opportunities in Karnataka, leveraging the region’s geographical advantages, Gentari representatives said that the company was eager to collaborate with the state government on these initiatives.
NTT Data company which has invested $900 million across its group in Karnataka and plans to further invest $2 billion in the upcoming years reiterated its commitment to achieving 100% renewable energy usage by the year 2030. During the talks, MB Patil assured the company of providing a reliable power supply for the seamless operation of its data centres. Further, NTT and the state expressed their mutual commitment to collaboratively increase power procurement from renewable sources.
HP Enterprise which currently employs 8,000 individuals in Karnataka out of its 15,000-strong workforce across India stated that the two new state-of-the-art buildings at Mahadevpura (Whitefield) would be unveiled soon. This location is set to become the largest concentration of HP facilities globally, nearly double the size of its next biggest site. Minister informed that as part of its commitment to the “Made in India” campaign, the state has been in discussions with HP’s vendor for setting up a manufacturing facility of Servers in Mysore amounting to a turnover of USD 1 Bn. In addition, HP is considering placing its global leadership in Karnataka, recognizing it as the hub for majority value addition.
Minister said that HCL which has the majority of its intellectual property registered in Bengaluru, is poised to launch over 25 products, addressing governance solutions and utilizing artificial intelligence for risk assessment in industries, commerce, and business.
Cisco, which houses the largest facility outside the USA in Bengaluru, recognizes a significant opportunity in deploying video equipment across global meeting rooms. Cisco is actively promoting women in cybersecurity and has been keen to partner with the Karnataka government. The collaboration aims to train cybersecurity trainers, organize substantial conferences on cybersecurity and support the state’s cybersecurity policy development. Cisco is exploring the possibility of becoming a founding partner of the CySecK, COE for cyber security (IISc CoE) as well.
Rapido, an investee and affiliate company of Swiggy, expressed its eagerness to collaborate with the government, particularly the metro department. The collaboration aims to foster partnerships to contribute to the enhancement of urban mobility and transportation services.
The representatives of Volvo Cars discussed GOK’s insights on vendor and cluster development. Volvo perceives plug-in hybrids as the future of India’s automotive industry, envisioning a transformative impact that aligns with the evolving preferences and sustainability goals, the Minister explained.
Kartikeya Sharma, president, Craig Katerberg, Chief Legal and Corporate Affairs Officer of Ab InBev India, Tengku Taufik, President of Petronas, Chairman of Gentari, Jeetu Patel, EVP & General Manager of CISCO, and Balasubramanian Kalyan Kumar, Global Chief Technology Officer, HCL were part of the talks.
Additional Chief Secretary to Chief Minister LK Atheeq, Principal Secretary of Industry Department S. Selyakumar, ITBT Principal Secretary Ek roop kour, industry Commissioner Gunjan Krishna, and KIADB CEO Dr. Mahesh were present.
