Belgaum News -A dispute between two groups over the ownership of the land resulted in a coyote attack, in which seven people, including an ex-army officer, were seriously injured on Monday morning near Angadi College on Savgaon Road. The injured have been admitted to the district hospital.
Shobha Baswant Tarihalkar (Age 60), Krishna Mahadev Patil (Age 39), Parashuram Patil (Age 53), Yallappa Patil (Age 40, All Res. Benkanhalli Dist. Belgaum), Arjun Vitthal Kole (Age 52), Shrikant Patil (Age 62) and Raju Patil (age 32) (all three resident of Savgaon Road) are the names of the injured. All these injured have been admitted to Civil Hospital for treatment. Among the injured, Arjun Kole has retired from the army.
While serving in the army, he bought a plot of land from the owner of this place at Savgaon Road and constructed a house. As there was a fraternal dispute over this place, Kole’s relatives had started a dispute against him claiming that it was their place.
This argument ended in attacking each other with koyta and sickle. 7 people have been injured in it. A case has been registered in Belgaum Rural Police Station in this regard and the police are conducting further investigation.
