The incident of sudden death of 10 sheep of a shepherd near Konduskopp village near Belgaum city came to light on Monday morning. According to the information given by Veterinary Officer Anand Patil, these sheep have died due to eating musar i.e. waste food.
A shepherd’s 10 sheep suddenly died on a farm near Konduskopp village, causing great loss to the shepherd concerned.
According to the information given by Veterinary Officer Patil, the said sheep died due to eating stale waste food (musar). He said that the food of goats and sheep is grass fodder and not mush. The dead sheep had eaten the musser. Due to this, she died of Rumirolasikosis.
The said sheep had started suffering from the previous evening. But this situation has arisen because the shepherds spent the whole day yesterday treating anyone they could think of. This morning, as soon as former mayor Yallappa Kurbur informed us over the phone that the sheep had died, we immediately entered the place.
Another 30-40 sheep were also upset after eating the mouser. But we have treated them and their condition is improving, please shepherds should contact the nearest animal doctor in case of any disease in goats and sheep. The veterinary authorities have also appealed that the goats and sheep should not be put at risk for the treatment that comes to their mind.
Meanwhile, as soon as the news of the death of a large number of sheep on the farm spread like the wind in the village of Kondaskopp, there was a rush to see the farm.
