Belgaum : There has been an increase in the number of stray dogs in Belgaum and the surrounding areas and many people are suffering due to dogs. So the time has come for a person who was injured in a dog attack a month ago to lose his life.
The unfortunate person has been identified as Nagesh Yallappa Kusane (age 68), a resident of Adarsh Nagar, Ram Colony, who died on Thursday morning after being severely injured in a dog attack last month.
On January 9, Nagesh Kusane was attacked by dogs while coming home from an open space in front of the Vadgaon crematorium. Nagesh was seriously injured in this attack. He was admitted to the district hospital for treatment. He was sent home after a few days of treatment. Meanwhile, Nagesh passed away this morning. He is survived by a sister-in-law, three nephews.
Nagesh’s brother had died just six days ago. Due to the death of two people in the house within a week, a mountain of grief has fallen on the Kusane family. The administration should take serious note of the death of Nagesh, who was injured in a dog attack. Citizens are demanding that Kusa provide financial assistance to the family.
Nagesh Kusane will be cremated this afternoon. Raksha Visarjan will be held on Monday (13th) morning.
The auditorium of Belgaum Municipal Corporation has recently come into existence, both the new mayor and the deputy mayor have also started their work. In such a situation, the demand that the municipality should provide financial assistance to the family of the person who died in a dog attack and take care of stray dogs is increasing.
