Belgaum : The railway station in Belgaum has been renovated and the renovation work started during the tenure of late MP Suresh Angadi has reached the final stage.
Meanwhile, Belgaum MP Mangala Angadi met Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav and discussed about starting a new railway line from Belgaum railway station.
Renovation work of Belgaum railway station has been completed and soon the renovated railway station will be inaugurated.
But the train service from Belgaum railway station to various places has collapsed and MP Angadi has discussed with Ashwini Vaishnav about starting a new railway line from Belgaum to Bengaluru, Pandharpur, Varanasi, Ayodhya, Miraj, Vasco, Pune and Ernakulam.
On the request of MP Mangala Angadi, Union Railway Minister Ashwini Kumar assured to take necessary steps to make the new route a reality.
