Mumbai: Actress Shilpa Shetty has been acquitted after 16 years of kissing Hollywood actor Richard Gere on a public platform.
In this case, the Sessions Court of Mumbai has upheld the verdict of the Magistrate’s Court which acquitted Shilpa Shetty.
In 2007, Shilpa Shetty was hugged and kissed by actor Rivard Gair on the stage of an AIDS awareness event in Rajasthan. A case was filed against this behavior of the actor and actress in front of thousands of people, which was a disservice to Indian culture. After a long trial of 15 years, the Magistrate Court acquitted Shilpa Shetty last year. An appeal was filed against this judgment in the Sessions Court. Now the Sessions Court has upheld the verdict.
