Mumbai: Marathi film ‘Sairat’ Filmmaker Nagaraja Manjule is producing a Marathi film on the life of independent India’s first Olympic medalist Khasaba Dadasaheb Jadhav. Manjule has won 4 National Film Awards.
The film will be titled Khasaba, “The film will entertain the audience and introduce the audience to the extraordinary athlete who has promoted India to greatness around the world. Through this, my intention is to convey the achievement of Olympic medalist Khasaba to all Indians.
Born in Goleshwar village in Karada taluk of Satara district in Maharashtra, Khasaba was the youngest of five sons of renowned wrestler Dadasaheb Jadhav. He won a bronze medal at the 1952 Summer Olympics in Helsinki.
