Mangalore: The title launch event of the Tulu film “Gajanana Cricketers” written and directed by Kirtan Bhandari of Prajwal Films was held on Monday evening at a private hotel in Lal Bagh.
“For the first time in the history of cinema, this film team is making an effort to open the world of underarm cricket. The film has a humorous storyline and will be a family watchable film. There are many situations in the film that will entertain cricket lovers. The shooting of the film will be held from May 18 across Mangalore and will hit the screens very soon. I accepted the story of the film and became a part of it,” said veteran Tulu theater actor Bhojaraj Vamanjoor.
“The film stars Vineeth Kumar as the lead actor, with Anvita Sagar and Samatha Amin as the heroines. Naveen D Padil, Arvind Bolar, Bhojaraj Vamanjoor, Prakash Tuminadu, Deepak Rai, Umesh Mizar, Sandeep Shetty Manibettu will appear in the cast. Prasanna Shetty has written the dialogue for the film, modeling in the field of Bailur. Prajwal Shetty, who has been crowned the famous Mr. Dubai 2018, will be seen as a villain for the first time in the film,” informed the director of the film, Kirtan Bhandari.
Directed for the first time by Keertan Bhandari who has written lyrics for Charlie 777, Eku Motteya Kathe, Giri Git and several Kannada and Tulu films, the film has 5 songs composed by Srujan Kumar Tonse and cinematography by Niranjan Das.
