The incident of brutal murder of a youth by unknown persons with a sharp weapon took place last Thursday night in Marihal village of Belgaon taluka and due to this there has been a stir.
The murdered youth has been identified as Mahantesh Rudrappa Karlinganavar (age 23, Marihal). Although the exact reason for the murder could not be ascertained, it is speculated that Mahantesh may have been killed out of animosity.
Mahantesh Curlingnavar died on the spot after being stabbed and stabbed by four to five unidentified assailants. DCP PV Sneha and Marihal police of crime branch visited the spot and inspected the spot after receiving the information about the murder.
A case has been registered in Marihal police station and the search for the killers is on. The entire village of Marihal has been shaken by this incident of murder.
During the last four months, there were incidents of murders in the eastern part of Belgaon taluka from the villages of Sahitya Shindoli Sulebhavi and Marihal.
