The use of electric scooters has increased significantly in small cities like Belgaum in Karnataka, Tumkur and Durg in Hassan in Chhattisgarh, Ernakulam in Kerala and Tripura in Tamil Nadu, and the penetration of electric scooters in these places is 35 to 60 percent, Ola Electric explained.
According to Anshul Khandelwal, CMO of Ola Electric Company, electric scooters have 50 to 60 percent penetration in Belgaum, 35 to 40 percent in Durg and 30 percent in Tripura.
Hence, these cities are now starting to compare with the big cities of Bangalore, Pune, Surat and Jaipur in terms of electric scooter usage.
Currently, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Kerala and Karnataka are leading states in the country in the use of electric scooters. In the next two months, Ola Electric will increase the number of its experience centers to 1000.
Ola Electric has two Experience Centers in Belgaum at Bauxite Road and Khanapur Road 3rd Railway Gate Tilakwadi.
