The Central Government has passed the Electoral Reforms Bill last year and this Bill has been approved in the House. According to this, the process of linking the voter ID card to ‘Aadhaar’ is underway. For this, both online and offline systems are available and it is possible to accept and link the said system as per your convenience.
This process will make it possible to trace the person holding more than one voter ID card. Meanwhile, this process is going on at the administrative level by the Election Department. But, political parties, activists of public representatives are showing interest to mobilize voters through this process. Voters are being cheated by linking Aadhaar card to voter ID card.
Youth voters over 18 or turning 18 by the time elections are announced are included in the electoral roll. Voter ID card is being linked with Aadhaar card as suggested by the Election Commission. The process has been undertaken for the first time this year, and it has now been six months.
The process is being carried out by the Election Department and a special campaign has been going on since last few months. However, through this, voters are being manipulated. Linking voter ID card with Aadhaar card is special!
