Within 24 hours, the Belgaum police have succeeded in uncovering the incident of firing on Ravi Kokitkar, the district president of Hindutva activist Shriram Sena, and the reason for the firing has come to light due to personal hatred and financial transactions. Belgaum police have arrested three people in this case and it has come to light that Abhijit Bhatkande, a youth from Belgaum, opened fire.
After the shooting incident on Saturday evening, Police Commissioner Dr. MB Borlingaiya formed a special team in just four hours and arrested three people in this case, Police Commissioner informed in a press conference on Sunday afternoon.

On Saturday evening, Kokitkar was shot at at 7:45 in the limits of Camp Police Station near Hindalga. He was injured due to a bullet grazed his neck. He was admitted to a private hospital for treatment.
Abhijit Bhatkande and three others have been arrested by the police and it has been revealed that there was an animosity between Abhijit Bhatkande and Ravi Kokitkar. It has come to light that an animosity was the cause of yesterday’s shooting. Two years ago, Ravi Kokitkar assaulted Abhijit Bhatkande and a case was also registered in the Shahapur police.
