Accenture Layoffs, Accenture announces cutting upto 19000 jobs recession2k23

Accenture, a leading IT professional services company in the field of Irish and American information technology services and consulting services, has just announced a shocking news to its employees. The company recently said it plans to lay off 2.5 percent of its workforce due to its lowest annual revenue.

Accenture has 7,38,000 employees globally as of the last quarter. But in the June and August quarters of 2020, 7,496 personnel were sent home. Now once again 2.4 percent is offered to give coke to the staff. The company employs 40 percent of its total workforce in India.

It is said that there is a possibility of giving Coke to approximately 19 thousand staff in the background of recent global economic downturn and reduction of corporate expenditure on IT services.

Another shock to employees from Amazon: Massive layoffs in 2nd round

The company said it will lay off half of its non-billable corporate functions division and face layoffs.

Accenture currently expects annual revenue growth of 8 to 10 percent. But compared to last year’s income, this increase was said to be from 8 to 11 percent.

Accenture rival Cognizant Technology Solutions saw modest growth in bookings last month. But now after the first quarter of 2022, the market seems to have generated lower returns than expected.

Dell lays off 6650 employees: Pink slip for Indian employees too

The surprising thing is that more than 1000 IT companies in America have been surveyed and all these companies are planning to reduce their budgets in 2023. The growth rate has been seen to decelerate from 5.6 percent to 3.4 percent from October 2022. It is impossible to predict how many more IT companies will cut jobs in this background.

Technology investment on both IT consulting and outsourced IT in the data space is approaching zero, said Eric Bradley, chief engagement strategist at Technology Market Research.

In short, the data points to a very difficult environment for consulting firms.
