Mumbai: Actress Adah Sharma, who is known for her roles in ‘Hasee To Phasi’ and ‘Commando 3’, has been roped in for ‘The Kerala Story’ directed by Sudeepto Sen.
The actress claimed that she could not sleep for some nights after hearing the story. Sen told me, “When the story was narrated to me, it was so terrifying that I couldn’t sleep for a few nights thinking about it. I want to act in this kind of film
“I am grateful for the opportunity,” he said.
Adah plays the role of Fatima Baa, a Malayali nurse who converts to Islam and joins the Islamic State. She is among the 32,000 women who disappeared from Kerala and later became IS terrorists.
“The Kerala Story is a Hindi film so they wanted a Bollywood actress who could speak Hindi and Malayalam. “I am a Malayali, so I speak both languages, so I might have chosen,” he said.
