Belgaum : Farmers have started filing written objections regarding the cancellation of the ring road proposal and on Thursday (9th), the farmers of Kadoli filed written objections at the office of the Highways Authority at Shivbasav Nagar and told the National Highway Authority that they will not give land for the ring road under any circumstances.
Provincial Officer Baliram Chavan listened to the farmers in a hearing held at the office of the Highways Authority in Shivbasavnagar on Thursday. At this time the farmers said that they would give their lives for the ring road but not even an inch of land.
The agricultural land in Kadoli area is very fertile. Therefore, ring road should not be done through this Shiwar. It was suggested to choose the option of flyover instead. At this time, 48 farmers of Kadoli area registered their objection.

Tanaji Kutre, Yallappa Jadhav, Shanta Talwar, Dilip Patil, Dudhappa Sanadi, Sudhir Jadhav, Vinod Bhosale, Baswant Mayannache, Shivaji Kutre, Sham Patil were present in large numbers from Kodoli.
Hearing of farmers from different villages of the taluka will be held for eight more days. Farmers from various parts of the taluka have been present in large numbers for the past few days and are protesting against the ring road. However, the Highways Authority is moving to scrap the ring road proposal.
Therefore, farmers will have to raise their voices against the ring road more aggressively in the future. The Taluka Maharashtra Ekikaran Samiti has appealed to the farmers of all the villages to attend in large numbers and register their objections against the ring road.
