Davanagere: The Tehsildar, who is the Election Officer, seized 66 kg of silverware illegally transported in a BMW car belonging to the husband’s family of a famous Bollywood actress near Hebbala toll in Davangere taluk.
Tehsildar Dr. Ashwath stopped a BMW car during inspection and checked the boxes and found silver items inside. Their total value is Rs 39 lakh. It is said. 66 kg of silver and a BMW car have been seized and investigation is underway.
This car belongs to the family of famous actress late Sridevi’s husband film producer Boney Kapoor. But Boney Kapoor’s family members were not present at the check post. Tehsildar Dr. informed about this. Ashwath said the seized silverware and the car belonged to Boney Kapoor’s family.
