It is understood from sources that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Karnataka on February 27 to inaugurate the newly constructed Shimoga Airport and the renovated Belgaum Railway Station.
Ahead of the Prime Minister’s visit, South Western Railway has been working hard to complete the pending partial development works of Belgaum Railway Station in time. Although the exact program and details of the Prime Minister’s visit are yet to be announced, preparations for the inauguration ceremony have already begun.
Apart from the inauguration ceremonies in Shimoga and Belgaum, Prime Minister Modi is also likely to inaugurate other development works in both the cities.
The ruling Bharatiya Janata Party in the state has started inviting the party leaders from the center in view of the upcoming assembly elections to be held in the next month. He has also announced that he will get votes in the name of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
