The MS and old PSC pipelines that supply raw water to Hidkal have suffered significant leakages at various places on Friday. 17 and Saturday. On February 18, 2023, there will be interruption in city water supply for two days.
The MS and old PSC pipelines supplying raw water to Hidkal are leaking at many places. Out of this, the leak repair work mainly at Kundargi Pump House is going to be undertaken on a war footing tomorrow, Thursday, February 16. The Kundargi Pumphouse will be closed tomorrow as it will take 6 to 8 hours to dry the cement packing used to repair the leak. Due to the said repair, the water supply of the entire Belgaum city will be interrupted for two days on Friday 17th and Saturday 18th February, including the sections having 24 hours water supply. The areas where water supply is disrupted are as follows.
Southern Division : Majgaon, Nanawadi, Chidambaranagar, Shahapur, Vadgaon, Old Belgaum. North Division : Sahyadrinagar, Kuvempunagar, TV Centre, Sadashivnagar, Basav Colony, Kapleshwarnagar, Subhashnagar, Ashoknagar, Mal Maruti Extension Area, New Gandhinagar, Kanburgi, Kudchi, Camp, Hindalco Factory, KAIDB Industrial Estate, Defense Complex, Sainiknagar, KLE Hospital and Beams Hospital.
