Malayalam actor Rajasenan ready to quit BJP and join CPI(M).

Thiruvananthapuram: Renowned Malayalam film director Rajasenan, who was a BJP state committee member, is all set to quit the party and join the Kerala CPI(M).

Rajasenan met CPI(M) State Secretary MV Govindan and held discussions.

Sixty-four-year-old Rajasenan has directed 37 Malayalam films since 1984 in a career spanning nearly four decades.

In 2016, Rajasenan joined the BJP and contested from the Aruvikkara Assembly constituency in the state capital district, finishing third by securing around 20,000 votes.

Despite being included in the State Committee, Rajasenan was unhappy at not being given more responsibilities. Finally, when he got a positive notice from CPI(M), he decided to join the ruling party.
