NCP Maharashtra MLA Rohit Pawar has demanded that the statue of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj should be installed at the renovated Belgaum railway station on priority.
The face wall of the renovated Belgaum Railway Station has been decorated with portraits of many great men. But there is a Hindu Swarajya founder in it. The image of Shivaji Maharaj was not deliberately placed. Ramakant Konduskar, president of Shri Ram Sena Hindustan, has demanded that before the inauguration of this railway station, Shiva Raya’s image should be included in the images of great men.
Konduskar had launched a protest through his organization on Thursday to demand that Shiva Raya’s image should be included in the statues of great men erected at the railway station. Also, statues of all the brave men were installed at the railway station, but deliberately. Why so much hatred of Marathi speakers by alleging that the statue of Shivaji Maharaj was not erected? He had expressed the opinion that such a burden is not appropriate.
NCP MLA Rohit Pawar has taken note of the agitation started by Ramakant Konduskar regarding the image of Shiva Raya. MLA Pawar has directly demanded from Prime Minister Narendra Modi that the statue of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj should be erected at the Belgaum railway station.
Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis should also bring to the notice of Prime Minister Narendra Modi that the statue of Chhatrapati Shivaji is being defaced at Belgaum railway station. MLA Rohit Pawar has demanded that Chief Minister Shinde and Deputy Chief Minister Fadnavis should listen to Prime Minister Modi who is currently visiting Mumbai.
Fortunately, the honorable Prime Minister Saheb is coming to Mumbai today, so the state leadership and prominent leaders should understand the sentiments of the Marathi mind and request the Prime Minister Saheb to install the statue of Shiv Chhatrapati in Belgaum railway station.https://t.co/xf9R9kuFwq
