The date for the postponement of the Belgaum Karnataka Maharashtra border issue has been fixed and the next hearing will be held on 30th November next Wednesday. Karnataka’s review petition is likely to be decided in this hearing.
In the hearing of the boundary question held on August 30, the Supreme Court ordered the next hearing on November 23. But on November 23, the hearing was delayed due to the absence of a Supreme Court judge.
Maharashtra’s Advocate on Record Shivaji Jadhav had filed an application in the Supreme Court on Friday for an urgent hearing on the border issue.
Taking cognizance of that application, today the court has decided to hold the next hearing on November 30.
Karnataka had filed a plea that the claim on the border issue could not proceed in the Supreme Court. A decision on this petition will now be taken on November 30.
Therefore, this hearing is important and Maharashtra has appointed senior lawyer Vaidyanathan. Karnataka has also created an army of additional advocates. Therefore, the hearing on November 30 is going to be very important. Now it will be known soon before which bench this argument will be held on 30th.
