Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has slammed the Hindi film “The Kerala Story” based on love jihad, saying it is part of “Sangh Parivar propaganda” for political gain.
In a Facebook post on Sunday, Vijayan said that such a film was made to portray Kerala as a land of demonic activities. “An attempt to portray Kerala as a secular land as a terrorist hot spot can be found in the trailer,” he explained. He said that the film is one of the various efforts being made by the Sangh Parivar for political gains in Kerala.
Love Jihad, the main theme of the movie, is a fictional conspiracy, and the Love Jihad argument has been rejected by investigative agencies, courts and even the Union Home Ministry.
