Keeping in view the crowd in the Chitrarath procession to be held in Belgaum city on Saturday to mark the birth anniversary of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, the police department has changed the traffic route in the city.
On Saturday, the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Jayanti procession will start from Nargundkar Bhave Chowk in the city. The procession will end near Kapileshwar Temple via Dharmaveer Sambhaji Maharaj Circle, Ramalingakhind Galli, Samrat Ashok Chowk, Hemuklani Chowk, Shani Mandir, Kapileshwar ROB.
No parking on the following roads from 02.00 pm till the end of the procession
The procession route will be along Nargundkar Bhave Chowk, Maruti Galla, Hutatma Chowk, Ramdev Galli, Samadevi Galli, College Road, Dharmaveer Sambhaji Maharaj Circle, Ramlingkhind Galli, Hemuklani Chowk, Shani Mandir, Renuka Mann Hotel, Kapileshwar Circle on both sides.
No Parking from Channamma Circle to College Road and Bogarves on both side roads Date: 27/05/2023 from 04.00 hrs.
For smooth running of the traffic system Date: 27/05/2023 from 02.00 PM till the end of the procession, the vehicular traffic route has been changed as follows and public is requested to use alternative route.
Rani Channamma Circle towards Khanapur
All vehicles will proceed via Camp – Gandhi Circle (Argan Talaba, Shaurya Chowk) via Club Road, Kendriya Vidyalaya No. 2, Globe Theatre.
From the circle one can proceed by connecting to Khanapur road
Vehicles going from Jijamata Circle to Deshpande Petrol Pump, Nargundkar Bhave Chowk, Kambli Khuta, Pimpla Katta, Patil Galli will go directly from Jijamata Circle via Old PB Road.
Vehicles traveling from Bank of India via Kapileshwar Flyover Road from Goves Circle and Nath Pai Water Circle will proceed from Bank of India Circle to Shivacharitra Road, Vaibhav Hotel, Old PB Road.
Vehicles heading towards Kapileshwar ROB via Old PB Road, Yash Hospital, Mahadwar Road, Kapileshwar Mandir will take a left turn near Yash Hospital and proceed through Bhatkande School Tanaji Galli Railway Gate.
Vehicles going towards Shani Mandir via Khanapur Road, BSNL Station Road and Railway Station via Gogte Circle, Postman Circle take a left turn near Globe Circle, Kendriya Vidyalaya No.2. Shaurya Chowk will move to Gandhi Circle, Club Road, Channamma Circle and so on
