Ujire, Feb 4: In the cultural program held on Saturday evening in the 25th Kannada Sahitya Sammelan of Dakshina Kannada District, Sri Anjaneya Mahila Yakshagana Sangh of Puttur, Boluvaru performed a talamaddale. An episode of ‘Yaksabhratri’ directed by Bhaskara Barya was presented.
He has been conducting talamaddale program for the past 17 years. The team is famous for its participation of women.
Muralikrishna Tenkabailu as Bhagavata in Himmela, Muralidhara Kalluraya Kunjurupanja in Chende and Shitikantha Bhatt Ujire in Maddale.
Shubha Adiga as Sri Ram, Kishori Duggappa Nandankallu as Lakshman, Shubha Ganesh as Sri Krishna, Harinakshi J. as Arthadharis in Mummela. Shetty played the role of Balaram.
Dakshina Kannada District Sahitya Parishad President Dr. MP Srinath honored with a memento. Muralikrishna Murthy narrated the program.
