6 crore accommodation expenses during the session?

Information has become available that the accommodation bill of ministers, MLAs and officers during the Karnataka Legislative Session held in Belgaum will be around Rs 6 crore. Also, the controversy has started because the hotel owners were asked to pay the bill for 12 days even though the hotel rooms in the city were used for 13 days during the convention.

The bill for the 13-day stay of ministers, MLAs and officers during the recently held Karnataka Legislative Session in Belgaum is expected to be around Rs 6 crore. Last year the hotel bill was Rs 5.5 crore. Last year the number of hotels was less. But this year, due to the large number of hotels, the bill is likely to increase. Hotel owners in the city have been asked to bill for 12 days even though they have prepared a 13-day bill.

Due to this, there is a dispute between the municipal officials and the hotel owners. Hotel owners will have to release water on one day’s rental amount, which will result in financial loss. Last year too, hotel owners and municipal officials had differences over the bill.

This year, the winter session of the Karnataka Legislature was adjourned a day earlier on December 29. But the ministers, MLAs, officers were camped in Belgaum till 30th December.

Therefore, the owners should get the hotel bill for 13 days from December 18 to 30, but they have been instructed to get the bill for 12 days from the government. Due to this, the hotel owners are expressing their displeasure and will the hotel bill be received on time this year or not? They have also got such a question.
