Belgaum Chamber of Commerce and Industries (BCCI) and Belgaum District Small Industries Association (BDSSIA) met the Joint Commissioner of the State GST Department along with tax advisors on Saturday.
The said organizations have received many complaints from their trade and industrial members regarding discrepancies in GST returns related to e-way bills and other GST levies.
In this regard, office bearers of BCCI and BDSSIA met the Joint Commissioner of GST today. Some GST officials are deliberately visiting the markets and giving notices to the traders. It was requested that people in trade and industry should not be disturbed in this way.
Also, to solve the problems of traders and entrepreneurs, the BCCI President suggested to the Joint Commissioner of GST that a meeting should be convened in the hall of the Chamber of Commerce and Industries along with the people of both the sectors. Chief officials of both organizations and tax advisers were present on the occasion.
