Karnataka state government has announced 19 public holidays in the coming new year 2023 apart from second Saturday, fourth Saturday and Sunday holidays. It is directed to grant holidays on festival days if the Muslim festivals included in the list do not fall on specified dates.
Karnataka government has announced the list of public holidays for the upcoming year 2023. The details of the upcoming year’s holidays are as follows. January 26 – Republic Day, February 18 – Mahashivratri, March 22 – Ugadi (Gudhipadwa), April 3 – Mahavir Jayanti, April 7 – Good Friday, April 14 -Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Jayanti, May 1 Labor Day, June 29 – Moharram, August 15 – Independence Day, September 18 – Vinayak Vrat September 28 – Eid Milad, October 2 – Gandhi Jayanti, October 23 – Mahanwami, Ayudh Puja, October 24 – Vijayadashami,
November 1 – Kannada Rajyotsav, November 14 – Diwali, November 30 – Kanakdas Jayanti, December 25 – Christmas. In this manner, apart from second Saturday, fourth Saturday and Sunday holidays, the state government has given 19 public holidays in 2023.
Government offices will remain closed on these holidays. Also, if the Muslim festivals included in this list do not fall on the specified dates, it has been directed that holidays should be given on the festival days.
