Hyderabad: Tollywood star Rana Daggubati and his father, renowned filmmaker D. Suresh Babu, are in legal trouble in a case of land grabbing.
Named after the ‘Baahubali’ actor and his father, local businessman Pramod Kumar has alleged that the father and son are pressuring him to vacate the land belonging to him.
The Court of Third Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate at Nampally in the city has issued summons to him in this regard. According to the complaint, the disputed land in Sheikh Pete was leased to him by Suresh Babu in 2014. It is alleged that Suresh Babu decided to sell the property for Rs 18 crore after the lease expired and entered into an agreement.
Pramod Kumar says that despite paying Rs 5 crore for the deal, Suresh Babu has not taken action to complete the sale and registration processes. The complainant alleged that Suresh Babu transferred the property in the name of his son Rana before the matter was settled.
