Indiranagar in Angol, Shivshaktinagar near the railway line and the severe shortage of drinking water in the area are being strongly demanded to be removed on a war footing.
Although the 24-hour water supply scheme is being implemented in Belgaum city, there is a drinking water drought in Indiranagar in Angol, Shivshaktinagar near the railway line and the surrounding areas. There is no proper supply of drinking water in this area since last many days.
Recently, the taps in Indira Nagar, Shivshakti Nagar areas are not getting drinking water even for cooking, which has caused a serious situation for the residents. Currently, the former corporator here, Vinayak Gunjatkar, is struggling to provide drinking water to the people.
Due to acute shortage of water, the citizens here have to depend on water tankers. 450 to 500 rupees per tanker of water has to be paid for that.
Despite repeated complaints to the concerned authorities regarding water scarcity, the citizens are expressing intense anger as they have not been taken into account yet.
However, there is a strong demand to remove the water shortage in Angol Indiranagar, Shivshaktinagar area by paying serious attention to the senior officials including the MLA and the new mayor.
