The temperature has been rising in the city for the past fifteen days and the maximum temperature of 37 degrees Celsius has been recorded today on Saturday. Accordingly, 60 per cent humidity has been recorded today, the highest so far in the month of April.
Belgaum city area recorded the minimum temperature of 19.6 degrees Celsius and the maximum temperature of 37 degrees Celsius on Saturday.
So far in the history of Belgaum, the highest temperature of 40.2 degrees Celsius has been recorded in the month of April. Since the beginning of the month of April, the maximum temperature has averaged 36 to 37 degrees Celsius in the last 14 days.
There are still 15 days left of this month and the heat is likely to increase further. Although the heat-stressed citizens got some relief due to the rains that fell yesterday, it is predicted that the heat will increase to a large extent in the coming days, especially in the month of May.
