38000 Teacher Recruitment, eklavya model residential schools to get 38000 teacher recruitment in 3 years

Union Tribal Affairs Minister Arjun Munda said on Wednesday that 38,000 teachers will be filled in Eklavya Model Residential Schools (ERMS) in the next three years, a process for which the central government has already taken steps.

Eklavya Model Residential Schools were started in 1997-98 for students from tribal communities across the country. Arjun Munda told Media Friends that the number of such schools has increased from 109 to 401 during the tenure of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s government.

The government plans to start Eklavya Model Residential Schools (EMRS) in 740 blocks across the country by 2025-26. He said that 693 schools have already been sanctioned.

Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman emphasized on international research, new education policy and education commission in the 2021 budget. Rs.93,224.31 crores had been allocated for the development of the education sector. In the budget, it was proposed to establish 750 Eklavya residential schools in the country.

To join the post of teacher in these schools, the graduates must have passed CTET or KTET along with B.ED education.

Thus, it is to be known at what stage the establishment of these residential schools, which has been presented in the year 2021 itself, is at. Also, regarding the filling of 38 thousand posts in three years, not even a single notification has come out. Notifications regarding the filling up of these posts are to be released soon. Also, at least draft notifications, schedules should be released for the candidates to prepare properly.
