Stage-1 – (INET – Computer Based Online Examination)
A computer based online test will be conducted to short list the applied candidates. It will be Indian Navy Entrance Test. Candidates will be shortlisted state wise. And on the basis of state wise cutoff marks selection is made for the next stage.

What is the computer based test like?
Computer based question paper is of 100 marks, 1 mark for each answer. The question paper will be in English and Hindi. It will be multiple choice objective type question paper. There are total 4 sections, there will be questions on English Language, Science, Mathematics, General Awareness.
Syllabus : It covers 10+2 level subjects.
Model question paper can be obtained at www.joinindiannavy.gov.in /.
The exam will last 1 hour.
Candidates should pass in all sections. 0.25 negative marks will be awarded for wrong answer.

Stage-2 : Written Exam, PFT, Medical Test
Those shortlisted in Navy Entrance Test (CBT) are invited for Stage-2 Written Test, PFT, Medical Test. The syllabus of this exam can be checked at www.joinindiannavy.gov.in/. Aadhaar card is mandatory to appear for this exam.
Physical Qualification Test
Qualifying PFT – Physical Fitness Test is mandatory. These qualifications can be checked on the right side of page 1 by clicking on the link below. What physical qualifications / abilities should be mentioned.
Medical examination
Medical examination is conducted for those who qualify in physical fitness test. Those who qualify in this will be considered for the merit list. More details about this can also be known in the above notification.
Merit list
Stage 2 – Merit list will be prepared only including those who qualified in written test, PFT, medical test. It will be state wise merit list.
2023 State wise final merit list (with cutoff marks) for 23rd October can be checked on the website.
The final medical examination for the recruitment will be conducted at INS Chilka, where the qualification will be required. After getting the police verification report and posting to the service.
