3 doctors have been transferred to BIMS Hospital on the order of the government. Apart from this, the District Minister said in the meeting that more doctors will be appointed as per the need.
He also instructed the health department officials present that the doctors who have been transferred to Beams should be immediately released from their previous responsibility. Besides ordering the immediate completion of the construction of Beams Super Specialty Hospital, he also suggested that a district level committee should be formed for it.
Legislative Council member Prakash Hukkeri suggested that the contractor be instructed to complete the work of the hospital as soon as possible. The construction of the said hospital, which started in 2019, has already been delayed for a long time. District Minister Karjol told the present officials that he plans to inaugurate this super specialty hospital by the Chief Minister, asking that the concerned department should ensure that the construction of the hospital is completed before the coming winter session.
Speaking on this occasion, the Belgaum South MLAs requested that the location where Keedwai Cancer Hospital has been decided to be constructed in their constituency should not be changed.
