A student died after going for a swim in the pond of Quarinjik near Janata Colony at Sulga in Belgaum taluka.
The incident took place on Monday afternoon and one of the two students who went swimming was 15-year-old of Ambedkar Galli of Sulga village. Ashok Kamble has passed away.
A case has been registered in the Kakati police station. PSI Gurunath, PSI Manjunath Hulkund, Prakash Ballal rushed to the spot and conducted panchnama.
