The incident of seizure of cash amounting to 1 crore 54 thousand rupees which was being taken to Belgaum from a car took place in Ramdurg (District Belgaum) this morning.
According to the information received, the police on patrol in Ramdurg on Thursday morning intercepted a car on suspicion and searched it. At that time, cash of Rs 1 lakh 54 thousand was found in a suitcase found in the car.
Due to the lack of proper explanation regarding the cash amount during the investigation and also due to the lack of necessary documents related to the amount, the Ramdurg Police has confiscated the amount and the case has been classified to the concerned department.
Police sources informed that the seized cash was being taken to Belgaum.
