Mumbai: Filmmaker Anurag Kashyap has spoken about the ban on his recently released film ‘The Kerala Story’ for the film ‘Propachara’.
Reacting to the ban on ‘The Kerala Story’ in West Bengal, Kashyap tweeted on Wednesday: “Whether you agree with the film or not is a different question. He said that even though it is a promotional film, it is wrong to ban it.
In the film, it was told that 32,000 girls from Kerala have gone missing and joined the terrorist group ISIS. After the dispute, the number of missing persons was reduced to 3.
West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee had recently directed the chief secretary of the state to stop screening the film from all screens in the state.
