Belgaum News: While the work of the project to supply round-the-clock water supply to the city of Belgaum was going on, the pipe brought to be installed at Kanburgi accidentally caught fire and the pipe got burnt.
The incident took place near Jyotirlinga Galli, Kanbargi in Belgaum at three in the morning. In this incident, more than thirty PVC pipes were consumed in the fire.
The L&T company had stocked pipes for work at Kanbargi. Around 3 am, a fire accidentally broke out and the pipe caught fire.
The fire brigade reached the spot and brought the fire under control. No major accident took place. The accident was averted as there were no houses around, the police also visited the spot and made an investigation.
