There are signs of a break in the ongoing struggle for Panchmasali community to get reservation and today in the legislative session the reservation question has been permanently submitted by the Backward Classes Commission to the state government.
After this, Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai informed the media that an appropriate decision will be taken after discussing the interim report of the Backward Classes Commission with all party leaders at the earliest.
Backward Classes Commission Chairman Jaiprakash Hegde met today (Thursday) morning and gave an interim report. The report will be scrutinized, discussed with the Minister of Law and Parliamentary Affairs and appropriate legal action will be taken.
The details were given a year after the Nagmohan Das report was submitted. Also, it has been 10 years since the report of the Sadashiv Commission, and its details have not yet been given due to non-approval of the government.
Since the Kantaraju report is still with the commission and has not reached the government level, no details have been given. However, the Chief Minister said that legal action will be taken regarding the interim report of the Backward Classes Commission.
