Regarding the recruitment of 15,000 graduate primary school teachers (class 6 to 8) in the state, there is a bad news for the candidates. Top sources said that the candidates who are already selected for the said posts and are waiting for the appointment letter after completion of enrollment verification, have to wait for at least another 3 to 4 months.

The selection list was released in the month of November 2022 itself. Candidates expected order letter for these posts in the month of February 2023 itself. But 7 months have already passed due to many hurdles in the recruitment of these posts. Now, in the background of the transfer process of primary and high school teachers, the appointment order letter for 15 thousand new teachers will be delayed for 4 months.

The transfer of teachers has started in the state from June 06. This process will be conducted till July 31. After this, primary school teachers should be promoted as head teachers to senior primary schools. It takes 1 to 2 months to complete the promotion process. Then for the recruitment of graduate primary school teachers for classes 6 to 8, counseling will be conducted on the basis of vacancies and allotment of places will be done. Sources said that it will take a lot of time to complete these processes.

Long delay due to reservation issue
Income certificate of husband of married women was considered for reservation in teaching posts. Due to this, 980 candidates were losing the posts under reservation despite being eligible. As this case went to court and the Kalyan Karnataka candidates also moved the court on the same issue, the process did not proceed further. Meanwhile, the process was delayed due to the implementation of the Election Code of Conduct.

On the other hand, teachers union demanded that teachers should be promoted before transfer of additional teachers. Then the additional process is unscientific. Due to the demand for more time to submit the documents, the transfer process did not take place. During the academic year, the process was suspended due to the Election Code of Conduct.

Now after the new government, the transfer processes have started. The additional process has taken place despite opposition from teachers. Still transfer to general core, district level transfer counselling, divisional level transfer processes are to be done.
