Background of Dr. Hari Om
Dr Hari Om was born in a small village called Katari in Amethi district of Uttar Pradesh. After his childhood education, he graduated from Allahabad. He used to sing a lot of ghazals, other songs and bhajans when he was a child. Singing means more love for them.

According to an interview with Optimist News, it was his father who inspired Hari Om to prepare for IAS, PCS. But he always tried to be a good student. Even his teachers said that you have the ability to clear the UPSC exam.

When I went to Allahabad for graduate studies, the atmosphere there was more affected. Since his friends there were talking more about IAS, Civil Services Exam, it was from there that he decided that he should also study for Civil Services Exam.
After completing his graduation in 1992, Hari Om went to JNU for postgraduate studies. Here most of the students were studying IAS more seriously. It is like staying there in Delhi and getting all the guidance and advice needed for the UPSC exam and deciding to write the UPSC exam. As an IAS officer by passing CSE in 1997 batch.
Later he served as District Magistrate in many districts of Uttar Pradesh. Even after being an IAS officer, his interest in music and writing did not diminish.
He used to read Hindi poetry and Shayari while studying for his doctorate in Hindi. Ghazal singers such as Mehndi Hasan, Ghulam Ali, Hussain Brothers, Jagjit Singh’s songs are a favorite for him.

Hari Om has also developed a habit of singing ghazals frequently. There are ghazals written and composed by him. Wrote many books. His first album was released in 2016. It is based on the poems written by him and the series is continuous. His self-singing album given below is proof that his love for music/singing has not left him yet.
