ILS system at Belgaum airport soon

Belgaum Airport (Sambara-IXG) was once under the control of the Patwardhan governments of Sangli in 1942. At that time in 1942, he had given permission to establish a Royal Air Force RAF center at Sambara Airport. As of now i.e. in November 2022, this airport, which is connected to 10 major cities of the country, will also soon be operational with the ILS system.

Belgaum Airport is currently connected to Delhi by Spice Jet, Surat, Ahmedabad, Jodhpur, Mumbai, Nagpur, Indore and Tirupati by Star Air and Hyderabad and Bangalore by IndiGo. Fortunately, Belgaum Airport has also been approved by two FTUOs i.e. Flying Training Organizations. One of these will be operated by M/s Red Bird Flying Training Institute. The work of establishing this FTUO has been completed and actual pilot training will be started at this place by the end of this year.

The second FTUO i.e. Pilot Training Center at Belgaum Airport will be operated by M/s Samwardene Technology Private Limited. Which will probably be operational next year. The construction of a cooling pit is currently being undertaken to defuse explosives in case any explosives are found at the airport and an Instrument Landing System (ILS) will also be installed at this airport soon. The construction of hangar and apron for aircraft maintenance, repair (MRO) etc. will be taken up in the month of December or January. The contract for this work was awarded to M/s Aviation Connectivity and Infrastructure Developers Pvt., New Delhi. Ltd. has been given to Therefore, maintenance and repair work of ERJ 145, Legacy 650, Falcon 7X, Challenger 605 etc. aircraft will be done soon at Belgaum airport.

April: Passengers 34689 Flights 546, May: Passengers 34301 Flights 589, June: Passengers 32940 Flights 556, July: Passengers 25943 Flights 494, August: Passengers 23145 Flights 485, September: Passengers 22566 Flights 472, October: Passengers 27262 flights 522.
