“After my schooling, I completed my MBBS degree from Mahatma Gandhi Medical College, Jaipur. I was undergoing MBBS training while clearing the UPSC exam. My father was in the Navy. Inspired by him, I joined the Indian Police Service,” he said in an interview.

Ravi Mohan was in class 10 when he won KBC Junior. In an interview, ‘I found my destiny in KBC Junior’. It is my effort. I had a dream to meet Bollywood Big Star Amitabh Bachchan. He claimed that I am his big fan.
Ravi Mohan Saini appeared for the first time in the UPSC exam in 2012. He had passed the prelims in this attempt. But could not pass the mains exam.
Then in 2013 again wrote the UPSC exam. Then he was selected for Indian Post and Telecom, Accounts, Financial Services. But again wrote the UPSC CSE exam in 2014. In this line attempt Ravi Mohan Saini got selected for Indian Police Service with AIR 461 result.
Currently Ravi Mohan Saini is an IPS officer in Gujarat cadre.
