Kerala Story Controversy: Number of missing persons reduced from 3 thousand to 3

Thiruvananthapuram: Amidst the fierce controversy surrounding the upcoming film ‘The Kerala Story’, the makers of the film on Tuesday changed the introduction text of the film in its latest teasers on YouTube.

The text mentions that about 32,000 women have gone missing from Kerala in the past. Now the changed version says that the three women were brainwashed and then converted and sent on terror missions in India and abroad. The Adah Sharma starrer film, which will be released on May 5, created a controversy by claiming that 32,000 women have left the state. Soon after the release of the teaser of the film, the Left parties led by the ruling CPI(M) and the UDF demanded that the film not be screened.
