Belgaum : Sampath Kumar Badiger, a youth from Kodechwad in Khanapur taluka who has been missing since last September 24, has been caught by the Nandgarh police in a village in Amidabad district of Telangana.
Sampat Kumar Badigar youth from Kodachwad (Khanapur) went missing after his bike, mobile and bag were found near Yedoga dam in Malprabha river basin.
After that, even after conducting a week-long search operation in the river basin under the guidance of the District Police Chief and Additional District Police Chief, nothing was found. Meanwhile, the police quickly turned the cycle of investigation with the help of the mobile phone found in the river bed with the help of its data. Accordingly, a police team consisting of Nandgarh police sub-inspector Sattagiri and constable Shivkumar Doordundimath had left for Telangana for investigation.
While the police investigation is going on in Telangana, Sampath Kumar contacted his father from a village in Amidabad district last Monday night around 11:30 pm and informed that he was safe. The family also immediately gave the mobile number from which the call came to the Nandgarh police.
As soon as the Nandgarh police gave that number to the investigation team in Telangana, they detained Sampathkumar. Meanwhile, the Badigar family, who had given up hope of their son, breathed a sigh of relief when they learned that Sampath Kumar was alive.
