Belgaum : Various police officers have been appointed for the police security of Shiv Jayanti Chitrarath Procession which is celebrated in a jubilant atmosphere in Belgaum. 2,200 policemen from various forces have been deployed for security for the Chitrarath procession to be held on May 27.
Tomorrow Saturday in Belgaum city. A large contingent of police along with 14 units of KSRP will be deployed by the police administration to ensure that the historic Shree Shiv Jayanti procession on May 27 takes place peacefully.
3 officers of the rank of District Police Chief/Deputy Commissioner of Police, 15 officers of the rank of Upazila Police Chief/Assistant Deputy Commissioner of Police, 42 officers of CPI/PI rank, 80 Sub-Inspectors of Police, 136 Assistant Sub-Inspectors of Police,
A contingent of 1500 Head Constables/Police Constables, 400 Home Guards, 8 units of CAR, 14 units of Karnataka State Reserve Police Force (KSRP) and 2 units of ASC will be deployed.
Apart from this, drones and CCTV cameras along with plainclothes police will be keeping an eye on the procession.
