UPSC Civil Services Prelims Exam Pattern
- This exam will consist of 2 compulsory papers. Each paper will also have questions for 200 marks.
- Both papers will also consist of objective type (multiple choice questions) and 2 hours test.
- General Studies Paper-II is a qualifying paper and a minimum of 33% marks should be obtained to pass.
- UPSC CSE Prelims exam paper will be in two languages Hindi and English.
- UPSC Prelims Exam is conducted for total 400 marks.

The UPSC CSE Mains exam will have all the following written test papers.
Qualification papers
Paper-A : Examination for 300 Marks.
Candidates should choose any one of the Indian languages listed in the Eighth Schedule of the Constitution.
