Speaking at the meeting, CM Siddaramaiah said Karnataka has a good environment conducive to industrial growth. There is constant connection and coordination between the academic and industrial sectors. He explained that skilled personnel are also available. Foxconn assured that the state government would provide all necessary cooperation to set up its business.
Foxconn Industrial Internet (FIT), a subsidiary of Foxconn Company, has invested Rs 8,800 crore for this. Plans to invest. It will create 14,000 jobs and will require 100 acres of land for setting up the unit.

The FII unit will manufacture phone screens, outer casings and other automotive accessories. While the proposed iPhone manufacturing unit near Devanahalli is an ‘end assembly’ unit, the FII unit will be a complementary unit. All these productions require technicians and other personnel, and a huge number of jobs will be created.
