A drama festival organized by METF in the cultural city

Mysore: Mysore English Theater Forum (METF) organized an English drama festival for college students from February 3rd to 5th. Seven English plays from six different colleges will be performed during the three-day festival.

The opening ceremony will be held at Ramagovinda Theater on Nirvikalpa Road, Ramakrishnanagar, Mysore at 3 pm on Friday, February 3, and will be inaugurated by the chief guest theater artist Prof. Rameshwari Verma. Dr. Priya Mathew, MMK-S DM Prof. Sainath Malligamadu, Prof. Anita Vimala Braggs (UCF A), Dr. Ravi J.D. Saldanha (St. Philomena College), Dr. Rakesh H. .M (Cresta College), Dr. B. Sadashiva Gowda (Vidyavardhak College of Engineering) will participate.

The College English Drama Festival encourages college students to explore the world of English theatre. METF provides an auditorium for Perofring troupes to perform plays; METF also takes care of make-up, lighting and refreshments for the teams.

METF is a group of theater enthusiasts, united for the first time in Mysore city to promote English theater activities and focus on creating a platform for English theatre. Its activities include facilitating the production of English plays by providing necessary support in the form of arrangements for staging plays by interested groups and providing directional support if required. METF also regularly conducts informal play reading sessions, and as an experiment prepares an interesting play for public reading. METF’s membership is constantly growing, and anyone with an interest in English theater is welcome to join the group.
