Under the Amrut Bharat Yojana, 52 railway stations including Belgaum of the South Western Railway will be redeveloped and the announcement in this regard has been made in the Union Budget. The railway stations to be redeveloped include 16 in Hubli division, 19 in Bangalore and 16 in Mysore division.
Under the Amrut Bharat Yojana, railway stations such as Belgaon Vasco-D-Gama Hubli Balnari Dharwad Hospet Bijapur Gadag Bagalkot Ghatprabha Almatti Munirabad Badami Alanavar Gokak Road Sanvordenm in Hubli section of Southwest Railway will be developed.
The center aims to provide world class facilities to every common rail passenger and accordingly all major railway stations are being redeveloped.
The Amrut Bharti Yojana is a major development strategy for railway stations aimed at facilitating passenger movement and consolidating the area around the station.
Architectural planning will be given importance to improve the overall look of the railway station. The redevelopment will provide facilities such as leisure, business, retail outlets etc.
