Today I am happy to inaugurate Super Specialty Hospital, Mother and Child Care Hospital and ICU. These facilities will transform Belgaum into a hub of medical education and healthcare, especially benefiting the economically weaker sections of the society. However, Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai asserted that BEAMS directors and other officials should work responsibly to achieve this.
Chief Minister Bommai was speaking after inaugurating the new Super Specialty Hospital, Mother and Child Care Hospital (Mother and Child Care Hospital) and Intensive Care Unit (ICU) in Belgaum Beams Hospital premises on Friday morning.
At this time Belgaon North MLA Adv. Anil Benke thanked the Chief Minister for sanctioning not only the Super Specialty Hospital, Mother and Child Care Hospital and ICU Department, but also an additional 650-bed hospital in Belgaum. The MLAs also requested the Chief Minister and Health Minister to approve a nursing college for Belgaum city.
In the premises of Belgaum Institute of Medical Sciences (BEAMS), a 50-bed critical care unit building will be constructed at a cost of Rs.1364 lakh in the next 11 months.
According to the plan, the ground floor of this building will have 5 beds for critical patients and 2 beds for women who come for delivery. The first floor will have DHU-6 beds, Dialysis-3 beds, Isolation Room-2 beds and Isolation Ward with 24 beds and the second floor will have ICU-10 beds, Pre-OP-2 beds, Post-OP-2 beds total 52 beds in the critical care unit building. are
In addition, a 100-bed Mother and Child Care Hospital will be set up in the premises of the Belgaum Institute of Medical Sciences. This hospital will provide quality essential health care to mothers and children in Belgaum city and rural areas.
